However simple and silly it may seem to a modern man, nothing will settle and purify his state more than to simply draw attention back to his body. His head needs to be stalled, paused, brought to a standstill so that he is aware only of his face, limbs, spine, and the nerves that spread across his skin. If he persists and struggles to make this so, his state of consciousness will change and elevate to a gradually finer quality. His attention will be naturally pulled towards the details within the details, the inner tastes of the outer experience which he so often fails to notice. It will seem as if he is feeding off of the ordinary world which had just a moment ago been dull, dreary and all too familiar. Now it is vivid, lucid and lush with scents, colours and the tastings of a brave new world.
