Mould of the Old

His body imitated their movements, his heart absorbed their moods, and his mind was coated by their words. In exactly such a way are new men fashioned from the mould of the old. One generation of bees repeat the march of the past, and linger on in the future with the same fundamental traits. Only this facade of outer colouring appears to change to the blind and deaf narrators of history. Men are the same now as they were eons before, and the mob minded trappings of humanity continue along the same familiar roads as they did in ancient days. So let the sly man look to the themes, the archetypes, the laws of before, and let him apply them to the now and anticipate their action to the after.
